"The original Black Cuervo! The very first supervillain in our family. She was known for being Miracle City's greatest thief and acrobat. She was, in a way, just like you." said Lady Gobbler showing a picture of the original Black Cuervo that almost looks like Zoe but older
"Am I seriously going to grow up to look like her?" Black Cuervo asked
"Can you get to the point mother?" said Shadow Falcon
"You can't call me that anymore, but I'm flattered; Carmelita rarely ever calls me that anymore." said Lady Gobbler a little embarrassed from hearing Shadow Falcon call her that
"Grandmami!" said Black Cuervo getting her Grandmami to focus
"Oh, alright! The original Black Cuervo was so good, that she began to take on many risk in her crimes, including stealing from the Bravo Family." said Lady Gobbler
"Who's the Bravo Family?" Black Cuervo asked
"Other than the Rivera family, they are our worst enemy. One of their children, who had a mystical item that can curse anyone, placed a curse on our entire family after she stole a wedding ring from that was supposed to go to her during her wedding; she also stole her husband too. As a result, she cursed our entire family from ever remaining with our true loves for long the moment we meet our first loves and they break our hearts completely" Lady Gobbler explained
"What does that mean?" said Black Cuervo
"As long as that cursed charm is around, anyone you fall in love with or falls in love with you will eventually leave you in the end the moment your first love breaks your heart completely. The cursed charm has been affecting the Aves family for a long time now." said Shadow Falcon
"If that's the case, then why hasn't anyone in our family done something about it?" Black Cuervo asked
"The Bravo Family isn't like any enemy we have ;if they strike at us, they will strike at us hard enough to completely wipe us out. I learned that the hard way in my youth when I tried breaking our family's curse. (to Antonio/Shadow Falcon) Do you plan on breaking the curse too?" said Lady Gobbler
"Yeah! That was the original plan when I traveled to France after I heard about the Ruby Phoenix and its ability to end curses; I figured it could end the curse for Zoe if I couldn't find the one who's wielding the item that cursed the Aves family in the first place." said Shadow Falcon
"How come mom hasn't done anything?" Black Cuervo asked
"She believes that the curse has only one source to it." said Shadow Falcon
Outside, Voltura and El Tigre are still fighting it out. Voltura keeps trying to blast El Tigre with her laser weapons but he manages to avoid them. Every time he tries to get close to her, she manages to kick him away. Like Lady Gobbler and Shadow Falcon, she knows about the curse of the Aves family too; however, she thinks the real source behind the curse really comes from the Rivera family (specifically the Rivera men as a whole). Each of the Aves family woman at some point in their lives has fallen for a Rivera man and eventually had their hearts broken as a result. Voltura has always hated the fact that her daughter would like El Tigre since he is a Rivera. Even if her daughter is still young and doesn't really know what true love is at her age, she still wants to protect her from getting hurt by El Tigre. Like her mother, they both share a hatred for El Tigre and the Rivera family but Voltura has a higher extreme of hatred in comparison.
"What is your game, El Tigre? Are you trying to break my daughter's heart again with this?" Voltura shouted at El Tigre and still shooting at El Tigre
"She asked me to me break her dad out so I did." said El Tigre dodging the blast and using his chain claws to retaliate
"Why!? What are you up to?" said Voltura flying towards him and grabbing him by the neck
"Nothing!" said El Tigre
"I doubt that; you Rivera men are always up to something. You're all nothing but trouble. I won't stand by and watch you hurt my daughter again. Once you're out of the way, she'll become a true supervillain." said Voltura
"She's already a true supervillain; she's more of a villain than you are or ever will be." said El Tigre kicking her away from him
Before Voltura could fire at El Tigre again, Black Cuervo appeared between the two of them.
(Flashback)
"She thinks getting rid of El Tigre will break the curse; it won't." said Shadow Falcon
"Even if she got rid of him preemptively, it wouldn't stop the curse; believe me, I tried that when she dated White Pantera." said Lady Gobbler
"So the only way to break the curse is to find the object that cursed our family and destroy it." said Black Cuervo
"Yes, but finding it will be a challenge and messing with the Bravo Family is risky." said Shadow Falcon
"Fine! Let's find a way to break the curse. If it's going to be some type of challenge other than something Miracle City can offer me then let's do it." said Black Cuervo
"Alright then! What about El Tigre?" said Shadow Falcon
"Can you make a hammer out of shadows? I need to say something to mom and him; you should hear it too Grandmami." said Black Cuervo as they all headed out of the hideout
Back in the present day, Black Cuervo got between El Tigre and Voltura. She then fired her laser at her mother and shot her laser and her mother to the ground. The suddenly, Voltura's own shadow restrained her and he restrained El Tigre too.
"Young Lady! What are you doing?" said
"Make sure you don't destroy El Tigre…...since I may want to do that at some point. Regardless of how I feel about him overall, if anyone will ever destroy El Tigre it will be me. Not you, not grandmami, not dad, and not any villain in Miracle City; Me! (pointing her laser at El Tigre) But since he did help me break dad out and learn something new, I won't destroy him today." said Black Cuervo
"Well, you heard her honey." said Shadow Flacon
"Shadow Falcon!" said Voltura in anger
"Me and Zoe are going to spend some quality time together; I hope you don't mind." said Shadow Falcon getting close to Voltura's face
"(Spitting at him in the face) Don't you dare touch me!"
"Ouch! (to Zoe) We better go before your mother gets any angrier." said Shadow Falcon
"One more thing!" said Black Cuervo
Black Cuervo whispered something in El Tigre's ear. After she did that, she gave him a kiss on the mouth, which caught the surprise/anger of Voltura but an intrigued snicker from Shadow Falcon. While El Tigre got caught up by the kiss, he noticed that she was carrying a hammer made of shadows in her hand and she hit him on the head.
When Manny woke up, he found himself in his room and Grandpapi sitting beside his bed.
"Manny! I'm glad you are awake my grandson." said Grandpapi
"What happened? Oh right, Black Cuervo kissed me…..and hit me on the head with a hammer." said El Tigre coming to
"Aves women, what are you going to do?" said Grandpapi laughing a bit
"How did I get back here?" said El Tigre
"Shadow Falcon and Black Cuervo brought you back here; they even brought my car back to me. I'm so glad that you released him, but it's a shame he won't be in Miracle City since he and Black Cuervo left a few hours ago." said Grandpapi
"Where did he and Black Cuervo go?" said El Tigre
On a rooftop in a huge city, presumably New York, Black Cuervo and Shadow Falcon are overlooking what appears to be a huge Diamond Store.
"I only broke into this place once and that was a long time ago; it looks like they've upped security here. This should be a challenge worthy enough for you." said Shadow Falcon
"Excellent!" said Black Cuervo looking at the huge Diamond store
"I'll be standing over there if you need help; I'm going to see if any of my old contacts are still around so we can find the member of the Bravo Family that has the item that cursed the entire Aves family. If you don't mind me asking, what did you whisper to El Tigre." said Shadow Falcon
"That's my secret." said Black Cuervo refusing to tell her father
Black Cuervo jumped off the roof of the building and activated her jetpack. As she is flying toward the Diamond store, she remembers what she told El Tigre before kissing him.
While we may be enemies most of the time, we're friends outside of all this. I'll call you. However, I'm taking this from you.
In case you are wondering, I am pushing for a MannyxZoe relationship in this story, especially since I prefer these two together rather than him and Frida; a future chapter will explain why. I might play with MannyxFrida but it won't really go anywhere here, especially since this story is going to take place within the span of the summer vacation that they are on all the way to their 8th grade graduation; from what I've seen in previous episodes, I can assume they were in 7th grade at the time regardless if certain episodes aired at a certain amount of time. I'm not going into their High School years since I don't find it necessary to go into for this story and I don't want to bother with a time skip here.
As for Black Cuervo, her development is going to focus on breaking her family's curse and finding new purpose in being supervillain by spending some time with her father and learning from him.
